"Science cannot give us all the answers. In fact, the most difficult questions, the most persistent problems are not matters of science, but of values. Science can tell us what is happening, but it cannot make us do anything about it."
(Wuerthner and Matteson, 2002)

Welcome to the Watershed Hydrology Lab (WHL)

I am a research scientist in the Aquatic Research and Monitoring Section, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) and Adjunct Professor in the Environmental & Life Sciences Graduate Program, Trent University, Peterborough, Ontario. My research program focuses on watershed hydrology and environmental flows to further our understanding and develop tools to support MNRF's goal of effective resource management to maintain healthy, sustainable ecosystems and to conserve biodiversity. This website provides information on our research activities and access to resources that have been developed through our work.
